Pancreatic cancer - a contributor?

30 Jun 2009

The risk of pancreatic cancer is increased in those whose diet includes a lot of red meat and dairy products, say scientists. A team from the Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics at the [US] National Cancer Institute reports that people who consume the most saturated fats are 1.36 times more likely than those consuming the least to be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The results appear in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute.
